Maria CarrasquilloCareer Transition Coach
Maria has an extensive background in coaching individuals in every aspect of job search strategies. She has a breadth and depth of experience coaching individuals with diverse work experiences. Her clients included emerging leaders to C- level executives, business owners, leaders in military establishments and federal government agencies, as well as dozens of IT senior leaders and professionals. She takes pride in the fact that her coaching support has resulted in helping her clients create meaningful change in their lives.
As a Senior Advisor for AARP, Maria led client engagements providing strategic analysis, consultation, and technical assistance to senior leaders related to human capital solutions. In that role she managed client engagements from start to finish, including facilitating client working sessions and process design workshops. During her tenure, Maria was instrumental in increasing the number of internal leadership development programs from two to seven within a two-year period, doubling voluntary enrollment and increasing employee satisfaction and leadership performance. In her role at WMATA, Maria provided a consultative approach to organizational needs and partnered with senior leaders to drive organizational development engagements such as organizational change, cultural assessments, and workforce initiatives. She led projects and project teams in the design, delivery and evaluation of enterprise-wide efforts (performance management, high-potential development, executive coaching, employee engagement, and leadership development).
Maria received her BA from University of Maryland and MA from Bowie State University. She holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coaching Federation. Maria also holds certifications in various behavioral assessments such as EI2.0, MBTI, and Conflict Dynamics.
