Building and Maintaining High Performance Teams

High performance teams require managers and supervisors to have a strategy around how to recruit talent, as well as skills on how to use praise and recognition, conduct performance meetings with high performers and under performers, use follow-up and disciplinary action with their team members, and managing terminations when necessary.  This online course provides intensive trainings for all of these topics.

Learning Outcomes: As a result of this course participants will…

  • Identify and apply steps to assess current team talent needs, build a plan to recruit a diverse talent pool, and advocate for a diverse group of finalists.
  • Understand and apply effective and practical ways to apply feed back and praise in driving employee performance.
  • Understand and apply how to conduct performance meetings with good performers and under performers.
  • Understand and apply how to use effective follow-up with employees to continually evaluate and drive improved performance.
  • Understand and apply how to execute a disciplinary meeting for underperformance or failure to meet expectations.
  • Understand and be able to apply how to execute a termination conversation with an employee.

The course in total, takes roughly 12 hours to complete.  Participants are given access to all course materials and reflection assignments through our online learning management system.  There are no educational prerequisites to take the course and participants have access to materials for 12 months from first log-in date.
