Karen LogsdonCareer Transition Coach
Karen knows the difference between working at a job versus working out your passion through a job – she has personally experienced it. In her coaching role, she will be your partner in identifying your passion –that which feeds you. Helping people fulfill their potential is what energizes her.
At a former employer, in a year where over 3,000 positions were eliminated, she conducted training for impacted associates on resume preparation and interviewing skills to facilitate opportunities for internal transfers and talent retention. She clearly brings a wealth of experience to help clients identify personal strengths and skills and re-envision new ways to use those. She also brings knowledge on developing a marketing plan and tools that will set individuals up for future job success and personal fulfillment. And finally, Karen has personally benefitted from outplacement services and knows the value it adds. She can demonstrate how career coaching can help her clients, as they did her, to be their best self as they prepare for the next chapter in their career.
Karen has 40 years of experience in a wide range of HR functions to include talent acquisition, talent calibration and development, career counseling, management coaching, training, compensation, benefits administration and employee relations. She has worked in diverse industries such as banking, higher education, healthcare delivery and insurance. She provided counsel to management at Anthem, Inc in conducting calibrations to build a talent pipeline. She even created a similar process for non-management staff. At Butler University she was awarded the first ever Partisan Award for her help in identifying the need for a different skills set and revising the hiring process for campus police officers.
Karen has a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in psychology and sociology from Indiana University, Bloomington.
